About Project
The bridge crossing the Jamuna River aims to enhance connectivity between the capital Dhaka and the northern and northwestern regions of Bangladesh. Initially, the bridge was named the Jamuna Railway Bridge. In December 2024, it was renamed the Jamuna Railway Bridge. It is 4.8 km long, consisting of 50 piers and 49 spans. It is designed with dual-gauge tracks and two railway lanes, allowing the simultaneous operation of two trains. Mattlock Construction provide general contracting services for IIA Company who fabricated steel girder and miscellaneous for the project.
